Home Alone

Home Alone

Wil has been out of town this week for work. I was so excited to have the house to myself for a few days! I emailed girlfriends as soon as I found out (months ago) and said I would host a weeknight slumber party. Girls night! I thought I would just relax this week and catch up on living summer. HAH! There are several issues with this. The first of which being, why the heck would I think that Wil’s being here or not has any effect on my taking time to relax?

The bigger problem of course….is that I am a workaholic. Wil left super early Sunday morning and since then I’ve edited a wedding and two engagement sessions, met with a couple about shooting their wedding next summer, hosted a viewing with another couple to show them all of the pictures from their wedding last Saturday, set a meeting with my accountant, cleaned the house, did laundry, filmed my first vlog, and blogged a wedding and an engagement session.

Soooooo not really the relaxing week I had imagined. I also have eaten a ton of fresh fruit and cheese (mostly of the string variety), watched 9 episodes of Dawson’s Creek, somehow accidentally froze everything in our refrigerator (and am still trying to figure out how to thaw without spoiling?), walked two miles for glittery nail polish, drank most of a bottle of prosecco (delicious drink recipe coming tomorrow), and have somehow not cooked a single meal.

Wil says I balance him out (which is true) but I’m finding more every day that he is my rock as much as I am his.

Said glittery nail polish. Because who doesn’t love an accent nail? :-)
