In other parts of the world, spring has sprung. By this time last year I was grilling my favorite chicken outside and watching the blossoms bloom. I can’t tell you how excited I am for wedding season, for patio weather at Big Star (and everywhere else), for picnics in the park, and to finally pack away my puffer coat. One of the most awkward things to tell another woman has to be that maybe she should go take care of her eyebrows! Well, if you’re in Chicago, I have found the most amazing person. Do you remember the gorgeous Sheri? Turns out, she’s a miracle worker with brows. I have never in my life been so excited about this subject before. But seriously, if you’re in Chicago, go see her immediately. (Call Thomas West Salon and just request Sheri ;-) I promise you are going to love her.
I’m reading through Mark with KT right now and this morning I was struck by a part of Mark 6:30 “Come away by yourselves to a desolate place and rest a while.” I love when my quiet time reading matches up exactly with what I need to hear for the day. I’m not sure if a truly quiet place exists in my life right now, but at the very least I am trying to learn to quiet my mind.
Wil and I are re-watching West Wing now that the whole series is on Netflix and I couldn’t be happier about it :-) Bartlet for America!
