This Saturday I had the incredible honor of photographing Matthew and Amy’s proposal! Matthew emailed me last Tuesday asking if I was available on Saturday to photograph his proposal at the Mitchell Park Domes. I emailed back that I would be THRILLED to (of course :-D) and proceeded to research online all about the domes. I called their office to see if I would need a permit to photograph inside and I would, but more importantly they had a huge event planned with thousands of people! Hmm not ideal. I emailed Matthew about it and we both looked for different venue options since neither of us live in Milwaukee. (PS thank you all so much who commented on my facebook and twitter with ideas!) Matthew settled on Villa Terrace. Wil and I drove up Saturday morning and were literally the only people there. The outside space was GORGEOUS but closed off and the inside was just empty and frankly not that exciting. So I texted Matthew in a panic. Mind you, he’s at lunch with Amy getting ready to drive there. He oh so calmly suggests we go to the Art Museum instead. Wil and I drive there quickly and find a good spot by the windows. I text Matthew again just to come straight all the way in by the windows. He says they’re just walking in now. OH MY GOSH you guys I was so nervous! I spotted them immediately (thankfully he’d sent me a picture) and I played cutesy tourist with Wil just looking at the architecture. The rest you can see in pictures!!
Happy Valentines to all of you reading and especially the newly engaged couple!!
