First 5dMarkiii Images! Pretty Flowers, Dinner with Darcy :-)

Yesterday my 5dMarkiii was delivered. I told everyone at the UPS store about it while I was waiting for Josh to get my package. He shoots film so we talk camera things when I’m in there (which is all the time). I powerwalked home, ripping the packaging apart as I walked. Opened the box immediately, was giddy to know it used the same battery as my Markii so I could use my fully charged spare immediately. I set the time & date, put the macro lens on, threw the 35 in my bag and ran out the door! The flower pictures are the first pictures I snapped, just as I was walking back up to 6 corners for dinner with my beautiful friend Darcy at Piece :-)

Just a few first thoughts. Everything is super crisp SOOC, the focusing is INSANELY improved, I like the shutterclick sound better (yes, I am petty). I promise I’ll have more to say about it and more interesting pictures after my wedding Saturday!

Update: I would like to add that it is also a little bit heavier, doesn’t feel exactly the same way in my hand, and the back review screen is STELLAR and so much more crisp.
