Twenty-Five

Twenty-Five

Yesterday I turned one year older, twenty-five. Thank you all so much for your sweet facebook posts, texts, and emailsl! I had a quiet day with with Wil that passed too quickly. If you follow me on instagram, you know I had ice cream with breakfast and dinner…so obviously it was a great day :-D

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while you know that last year I said I wanted to focus on “being still“…..yeah….that was before I took my business full time, Wil started traveling every week, I booked twenty-three of my own weddings for this year, decided to second shoot another eight, and expanded my business into New York. In case you’re wondering, that is not a recipe for stillness. I feel even more harried than I did when I wrote that post a year ago.

I don’t know what the answer is, or if there even is one, but I’m going to be taking some time this December to try to figure out how I can lead a quieter life in the midst of what mostly feels like chaos.

I feel weird ending the post like that…but I don’t really have further thoughts yet.

On a lighter note! If you’re by a computer at 12 Central, please come watch me on Showit Live and ask questions (I’ll also post the recording later if you miss it live)! I’ll be attempting to touch on everything you asked about: what I use for SEO, creating an editorial calendar and generally managing blogging, submitting work for publication, prioritization, marketing, my attempts at turning traffic into inquiries that book, consistency of branding to reach target/ideal clients, post processing and how I edit.

AND! As an extra special birthday treat, I have my very first Style Me Pretty New York feature up today!! YAY! <3
