Packing for Thailand

Packing for Thailand

Big news! I leave on Monday for Thailand with my Mom for two weeks. (Don’t worry, the blog will still be active with lots of pretty pictures and awesome posts while I’m gone!) This trip came up really last minute and I’m super excited but I feel like I haven’t had time to mentally prepare and make enough lists of things to do and what to bring. The weather should be similar to Miami this summer so my packing list will probably look mostly like that. I got a new backpack because carrying around my OG bag in Paris killed my right shoulder by the end of the trip.  I’ve ordered some new sandals that should arrive today and I’m praying are comfortable. Since I got rid of half of my shoes, I realized I don’t have good walking flats and sandals for warmer weather anymore! Oops.  It’s a work trip for my mom and I may be attending a few meetings with her, so I’m pulling out my business casual dresses (aka what I wear to photograph weddings) and picking a few of the most comfortable to bring.

It’s crazy how many people I know that have been to Thailand! I’ve heard lots of good recommendations over the past couple weeks but I would LOVE if you have any packing advice or things to do in Bangkok, Khon Kaen, or Hua Hin!!!

My biggest goal for the trip is to relax. Then (of course there’s a then) to sit down and analyze 2012. What worked, what didn’t, etc. I want to dig in and figure out how to grow in my relationship with God this year. I like these questions from Sarah to guide that! Then I want to analyze my personal style for 2013. I want to nail down my personal & business goals for this year and just be refreshed & renewed. I think (and hope) this might just be the unplugging I so desperately need.

So! Please let me know any ideas and recommendations you have. I would love to read some for pleasure on the trip too if you have a favorite!

I can’t wait to report back with pictures. I’ll be instagramming as much as I can (aka when I have wifi : -) if you want to follow along. XXOO
