7 Dresses

7 Dresses

I’m so sorry for not updating you all much sooner on my progress this month! Last month with food was hard…I guess part of me has been waiting for this month to feel difficult like that. But honestly, it hasn’t yet. I allowed myself seven dresses for the month…and thought I’d plan them all in advance. October totally snuck up on me though and I hadn’t planned! So I decided to just wear dresses until I’d worn seven of them and stick to those. I’ve intentionally worn dresses I knew I could wear alone, dress up or down, with heels or boots. And here’s the thing…today is the 11th and I’ve only worn these five so far. I’m absolutely wearing leggings and boots most of the time since it’s like 30something in the morning now…but with a coat I’m not cold! I thought I’d give myself a free day on my birthday (which I might still) but realistically I could still fit that dress in to my seven for the month. Crazy!

It’s funny because twice in my life I’ve intentionally done the opposite of this. I’ve worn every possible article of clothing I can without repeat to see how long I could go. I did this for the first couple months of my Junior year of high school and I did this when I started my corporate job right out of college. I can honestly say this month has been more fun so far than either of those! And I feel really good about it. I’m excited to finish this out and eliminate 210 items from our house next month :-D

The winner of the Starbucks giveaway is Vella Goebel! Send me your email and the Starbucks giftcard is on it’s way!!

»Since you asked ;-) the first dress is Ann Taylor LOFT from their current Fall collection, purple dress is from a little boutique in Bloomington that I got in college, grey sweater dress is GAP from last winter, the blue/green wrap dress is from Banana last year (this is the current version), and the last dress is Ralph Lauren«

Happy Thursday all! XXOO

**If you’re clueless as to why I would only be wearing seven things for the month or torture myself by giving up coffee last month, you can catch up right here!**
